A custom adapter was developed for a 1997 Honda Del Sol to mount a suitable speaker using the vehicle’s existing fixing points. The project was created as a functional replacement part where an off-the-shelf solution did not fit.
The model was adapted to measured dimensions, mounting-hole positions and the limited space behind the interior panel. Fit, tolerances and access to the fasteners were checked before final production.
This transition adapter connects a 150 mm ventilation duct to a 100 mm flexible hose. The transition geometry was designed to remain compact, rigid and straightforward to install.
The prototype verified the real fit on both diameters before any additional units were produced. This approach is useful when standard duct reducers do not fit the available space or connection method.
